As we discussed in previous posts, our voices honor God when we call on His Name and when we sing hymns focused on Him.
We honor God, too, by giving voice to the blessings He’s given.
- With our voices, we praise and thank God.
- We spread the Good News of eternal life through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
- We bear witness of God’s love in our conversations with others.
- We verbally share our excitement over what the Lord has done for us.
- We use our voices to encourage others in their faith.
Our voices also communicate our thoughts, intentions, and decisions.
- Our prayers honor God and communicate with Him.
- Through our voices, we communicate remorse over our wrongdoings.
- We voice our need for forgiveness from God and anyone we have wronged.
- We verbally communicate our forgiveness to those who have harmed us.
- Even the tone of our voices can communicate acceptance, appreciation, and love.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the unique voice You have given to each of us. Please help us to speak up and not be shy about testifying to the joys and blessings You have given. Help us trust You to give us timely words to say in a winsome manner and a pleasing tone of voice. Fill our mouths with Your praises and help our voices to always honor You in Jesus’ Name.
