A deeper relationship with God involves getting to know Him personally through Holy Scripture, His loving actions, and His wholly-good character.
As we come to know God, we recognize Him as Creator, Savior, and Advocate – The One Who loves us and can be trusted to want the best for us – spiritually, mentally, and physically – for God IS Love. (See 1 John 4:8.)
Believing God and His promises lets us know we can fully trust Him in all circumstances and concerns, no matter how bad they seem at the time. As Romans 8:28 assures us, “For we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.”
Aligning ourselves with God’s Will, studying His Word, and talking with Him about everything – enormous or minuscule – will strengthen the bond between us and help us to believe, worship, and wholly honor Him.
